Army Construction LLC was selected by the New York City School Construction Authority to execute a complete roof replacement and envelope rehabilitation at I.S. 125Q, located in Woodside, Queens. The project addressed the deteriorated existing roofing systems, failed flashings, and masonry parapets, replacing them with a modern, energy-efficient waterproofing assembly designed for long-term performance and SCA compliance. The work was executed under occupied school conditions, requiring precise sequencing, protection of interior spaces, and coordination with mechanical, electrical, and architectural trades to ensure uninterrupted school operations throughout the project duration.

Roof Replacement and New roof at Addition Building

Flashing, Drainage & Metal Work

Complete removal of existing roof systems down to the structural deck, including vapor barriers, flashings, and drain assemblies.
Installation of a **Barrett RamTough 250 Hot-Rubber Roofing System**, featuring membranes for high durability and flexibility.
Installation of **stainless steel counter flashings, drip edges, and expansion joint covers** fabricated in accordance with SMACNA standards.
Replacement of roof drains, leaders, and scuppers with new **cast-iron assemblies** equipped with domed strainers for optimal flow capacity.
Integration of **stainless steel cap flashings** and Barrett fluid-applied flashing at all transitions and penetrations.

Masonry & Parapet Restoration
