Army Construction LLC was contracted by the New York City School Construction Authority to perform a comprehensive roof replacement and outdoor classroom improvement project at P.S. 40 in Brooklyn. The project involved extensive roof system removals, structural and waterproofing improvements, and installation of new accessible features to transform the rooftop and adjacent courtyard into a functional and compliant outdoor learning space. Work was executed in coordination with the SCA, FDNY, and project engineers to ensure compliance with code requirements, safety standards, and accessibility guidelines (ADA). The project was delivered under occupied school conditions, with continuous collaboration to minimize disruption and maintain school operations.
