The Canarsie High School Envelope Restoration Project was a full-scale rehabilitation of the building's exterior envelope, addressing long-term weathering, moisture intrusion, and energy-efficiency deficiencies across multiple roof zones and fasade elevations. ARMY CONSTRUCTION LLC provided a turnkey execution--removing existing roof assemblies, rebuilding parapets, performing facade masonry repairs, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tie-ins across the SCA design package.

Scope of Work

Roofing Replacement

**Full demolition** of existing roofing systems down to deck on entire roofs.
Installation of a **multi-ply modified bitumen roof system** meeting NYCSCA Specification 07500 and Energy Code Compliance.
Incorporation of vapor barrier, **tapered insulation, and cover board** to achieve design slopes and thermal performance.
Integration of roof drains, flashings, and coping details as per sheets.
Final system certified for **25-year SOPREMA warranty**.

Parapet & Masonry Reconstruction

Selective demolition and rebuilding of **parapet walls** on all elevations.
New CMU backup, face brick, and **cast-stone coping** installation.
